We are currently seeking a Senior Customer Marketing Manager. Mendix’ GTM model is a “tops-down Land and Expand” model. Our typical customer buys an initial license to create a few apps (“Land”), realizes the vast potential for their enterprise with our platform, and quickly expands to an enterprise-wide license (“Expand”).We are looking for a leader to advance customer marketing capability and engagement. This person’s primary responsibility is to collaborate with our global Customer Success Team to identify marketing opportunities to reach existing clients, and execute strategies to increase awareness and speed up adoption of our platform. This is a new role with low risk and much upside. If you like creating and leading an initiative from scratch – from building the plan to executing it tactically – then we want to talk to you!
So what will you be doing as a Senior Customer Marketing Manager at Mendix?
You’ll have to segment our customer base and make a marketing plan for each segment. How to best engage with Fortune 1000 customers? How about with Mid-Market customers? And everyone in between? You’ll then have to figure out the right tactical plan for engaging each segment of customer - from creating a communication plan to keeping our customers abreast of platform feature updates, to creating and executing digital programs to help drive adoption of our platform across the enterprise, to organizing and executing on-the-ground hackathons where we show customers that great, game-changing apps can be made by better collaboration between Business and IT without ever needing to code. And every other trick in the marketing-tactic toolkit.
Who are you?
You understand what customers need to be successful and what drives them crazy. You have been a Customer Success Manager at a technology company and have hands-on experience onboarding and helping customers be successful with B2B software, or you are a marketer who has worked closely with Customer Success teams to actively engage existing clients and drive revenue through innovative digital campaigns. You want to get your hands dirty learning our platform and taking our message of Innovation and Transformation to our customers. You’re comfortable ‘learning tech’ because your job is to help our customers understand the vast power of low-code platforms, and you have shown this by either being hands-on with marketing technology or as a CSM (minimum 5 years relevant experience). You are a ‘doer’ because in this role, you manage both strategy and execution. You have experience with some or all of the following: CRM Software, Digital Campaign measurement tools, Marketing Automation Platforms, and ABM Platforms (Marketo, Google Analytics, and Demandbase are ideal!).
